CELEBRATED JAZZ SINGER TO PERFORM

 IN MIDDLETOWN ON JUNE 3rd

           Vocalist Deva Varella's concert of classic jazz standards will be performed at Middletown's Wadsworth Mansion, 421 Wadsworth Street, on Tuesday, June 3, at 7:00 p.m. There will also be a 3-piece backup band consisting of Frank Varella, Steve Bulmer and Tom Devino.

            Deva is known for her stylistic approach to classic jazz standards and soulful ballads. She is a classically-trained vocalist who studied with outstanding coaches. Deva attributes her phrasing and breath control to many years as an instrumentalist during her youth including euphonium in symphonic band, valve trombone in swing band, flute in marching band and a lifetime of singing jazz. Audiences throughout New England and beyond have become long-lasting fans of Deva.
