Curbside Collection of Textiles Resumes in Middletown 

Simple Recycling has resumed picking up textiles curbside in Middletown, although residents must now make an appointment for the curbside pickup. 

Appointments can be made by calling 1-866-835-5068 or online at www.simplerecycling.com.  Clothes can be placed out in any bag or box with a "Simple Recycling" label on it. They must be placed by the front door by 7:00 am of the day scheduled for your pick up.

Alternatively, items can be dropped off at any of the textile recycling bins throughout the City.  Acceptable items for both of these programs are listed here.  

Every year, 25 billion pounds of textiles are thrown away in the United States. 45% of these textiles can be reused, 30% can be turned into wiping cloths, and 20% recycled into new products.  Throwing them away is a waste of resources and contributes to climate change and our trash disposal crisis.
