Dear All,

Public Works is planning to start collecting leaves the end of October. Crews are finishing the pick up of brush from storm Isaias (finally!) and then will switch equipment and focus on leaves. Leaves should be raked loose to the curb or placed in biodegradable paper bags. Leaves placed in plastic bags will not be picked up. Leaf collection usually runs 6-8 weeks, depending on the weather. During this time, curbside bulk waste collections are suspended except in the Sanitation District.
Also, please note that the hours for the Recycling Center have changed slightly. They will be closing 15 minutes earlier every day. So the new hours for the Center are Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. and every Saturday through November, 7:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.
