Dear Middletown Recyclers,

Just a reminder that the last paper shred event of year is this Saturday, August 15, at the Middlefield Community Center, 305 Main Street, Middlefield, from 9am - 12 noon. Middletown residents can attend at no charge. Please put your papers in the trunk of your car. New COVID protocols require participants to stay in their vehicles and you cannot stay to watch the shredding. If you don't feel comfortable with that, please wait to bring your papers.

Public Works crews are continuing to pick up brush from the storm. Please have your brush out, as they are going to every street in the City.

City Hall is open by appointment. If you need to drop off recyclables (batteries, plastic bags and film, technotrash, oral care products, or plastic gift cards) you can just bring them in and leave them at the front desk. Please remember batteries and light bulbs can be brought to the Recycling Center as well.

Please take a moment to check out our newest episode of Recycling: It's a Walk in the Park! It will answer your questions about ice cream!

Happy Recycling!
