Middletown Trans Day of Remembrance
Sunday, November 20, 2022
Join trans people from Middletown and nearby for a Trans Day of Remembrance vigil and speakout — remembering the lives lost to transphobia over the last year, connecting with community, sharing our stories, building resilience and healing together. We will gather on the steps of Middletown City Hall on the municipal lawn facing deKoven Drive. Hot drinks and socializing at Russell Library to follow.
Trans Day of Remembrance - November 20 - is an international day of mourning created to remember trans lives lost to transphobic violence. Trans people, especially trans women of color, experience horrific amounts of individual hate crimes and state violence. TDOR is a day for the community to connect, mourn together and recommit ourselves to defending trans lives around the world.
Save the date and remember to dress warm. More details for this event will be shared & updated as they come.
This event is brought to you by PeerPride and Middletown Pride.
