Free concert of Sicilian American Music

A free Songs of Melilli concert by Middletown musician Sam Vinci and his band. The concert will be held in the historic gardens behind the Middlesex County Historical Society, 151 Main Street, Middletown. Please enter through the Spear Park gate, on the corner of Main and William Streets. All are welcome. No RSVP necessary.
This concert of Sicilian American music coincides with the Historical Society’s current exhibit, “A Century of Devotion: The St. Sebastian Feast in Middletown, 1921-2021,” which will be on display through this fall. Sam Vinci has provided music for the Feast in Middletown for seven decades and played for four U.S. presidents in the 1950s and 1960s. On May 7, he will play songs that his father, Sal Vinci, brought from Melilli, Sicily to Middletown in the 1920s.
