Overview

The City of Middletown’s Human Relations Commission is made up of nine Middletown residents representing a broad cross-section of our Community. These individuals have varied careers and are committed to activist roles in a myriad of civic, ethnic, and community groups. Take a look at our brochure!

There are nine Commissioners, all appointed by the Mayor. The Commissioners are confirmed by the Common Council and then serve staggered four-year terms. The Commission’s Staff consists of Faith Jackson, Director of the Office of Equal Opportunity and Diversity Management.

Community Involvement

The public is encouraged to attend meetings of the Human Relations Commission to bring to its attention any human relations problems, ideas, or concerns. We encourage community and other groups to come to speak to our commission regarding items that fall within the commission's purview.

To receive commission meeting agendas, announcements for commission events, or to be included on the commission’s mailing list, please contact us!
