Responsibilities

  • Prepares disease prevention and health risk reduction programs
  • Responds to public health-information inquiries
  • Conducts health screenings
  • Conducts blood glucose monitoring
  • Prepares grants to assist with disease prevention
  • Works with community partners on health and medical programs

Emergency Preparedness

The Middletown Health Department prepares and maintains Local Public Health Preparedness and Response Plans. These plans address the Middletown Health Department's role during a local or regional emergency.

The Middletown Health Department also provides information to residents on how to be prepared for any type of emergencies such as hurricanes, snowstorms, fires, power outages, and floods.
